Vault –The Great Chase (Edition 1) Melbourne Card & Collectible Show: CardPop Australia Review

By CardPop's angle on one of Melbourne's Newest CardShows. — 2026-11-04 · 1 min read

For their first event, this brought the hype, the vendors and variety, that confirmed future events cannot be missed.

The Great Chase featured over 70 trading card game (TCG), limited sports cards and no shortage of pop culture collector vendors at the Melbourne Pavilion (Kensington, VIC). This is the first card show event we have attended at the Melbourne Pavilion and the first this event series. This was a very well organised event, security and staff ensured there were no issues and admission was a breeze. There was a tonne of vendors with a good range of supplies and cards. We were provided with a wristband and code to see if we could activate the vault inside the building on entry. There was a definite buzz and given the space, the organisers definitely did well to try and make the most for both vendors and collectors. The only downside was limited food options at the venue and limited parking. Public transport was the way to go and within metres of the venue. It is clear, that this event will continue to grow and no doubt will need a bigger venue for the second edition!

Scorecard

Overall: 4 / 5

  • Vendors & stock: 3.5 / 5
  • Prices: 4 / 5
  • Venue & organisation: 4.5 / 5
  • Atmosphere: 4.5 / 5
  • Value for money: 4.5 / 5

Would recommend for all TCG players who prefer a smaller show and the ability to negotiate trades without the complete chaos.
