A UV-protective magnetic one-touch holder for 55pt cards. For thicker inserts, parallels and lighter jersey cards that don't fit a standard holder.

A standard trading card is about 35pt, but plenty of inserts, some parallels and common jersey cards come thicker. Squeezing them into a 35pt holder presses on the card and can stop the magnet closing flush, while a holder much too big lets the card rattle around. The 55pt size sits in between. The two clear halves close with a magnet, so there are no screws to over-tighten, and the UV protection helps the card keep its colour on display.

Choose 55pt when a card is a little thicker than a base card but nowhere near patch-card thickness. A rough guide many collectors use is around 1.5mm for 55pt; if your card is closer to 2mm, go to the 75pt holder, and thick patch cards need 100pt. Ordinary Pokémon, Magic and base sports cards belong in the 35pt holder. Check the thickness printed on the pack where the manufacturer lists it, and measure with calipers if you can.
