The 130pt Mag Lock is the case for memorabilia that a 100pt case will not close on. Multi-swatch relics, cards with large embedded pieces and slim booklet-style cards usually need this much depth. Most collectors only own a handful of cards like that, so this is a case you buy for a specific card rather than in bulk, and the fit matters because those cards are rarely cheap.

Why collectors pick this one

Choosing the right one

Same rule as top loaders: the point rating is the card's **thickness**. 35pt covers almost all modern standard cards; thick stock, patch and relic cards need 55pt and up. A case that is too large lets the card rattle, which defeats the point.

About the Mag Lock Card Case 130pt

Thickness across premium memorabilia varies a lot from product to product, which is why the top of the Mag Lock range comes in three steps. The 130pt sits in the middle: deep enough for heavily layered cards, without the extra space of the 180pt case that would let a slimmer card slide around.

It is the right choice for quad relics, cards with bat or glove pieces, and fold-over cards that are slim when closed. If a card already fits a 100pt case cleanly, keep it there. If the lid still will not shut at 130pt, move to the 180pt case.

Clear acrylic on both faces lets the full card be seen, and the magnetic closure means it can come out again without tools when it is time to sell. Put a case this size on a stand for display, or keep it in a box with other one-touches when it is not on show. A microfibre cloth keeps the acrylic clear for photographs without leaving fine scratches, and a stand keeps the case upright on a shelf.

Common questions

Are these UV protective?

Check the individual product page — UV rating varies by case. Regardless of rating, no acrylic case makes a card safe in direct sunlight; keep displayed cards out of it.

Can I put a graded card in one?

No. Graded cards come in their own sealed slab, which is far thicker than any of these. A graded card case is the right product for a slab.

Will the magnets damage the card?

No. The magnets are at the edge of the case, holding the two acrylic halves together — they are not in contact with the card and exert no pressure on it.
