The 75pt Mag Lock is the display case for relic cards. Jersey swatches, single-colour patches and thick premium inserts usually measure around this thickness, and they are the kind of card people want to see from both sides. This clear acrylic case gives them a rigid, fully closed home held shut by magnets, so the swatch can be shown off without the card being handled.

Why collectors pick this one

Choosing the right one

Same rule as top loaders: the point rating is the card's **thickness**. 35pt covers almost all modern standard cards; thick stock, patch and relic cards need 55pt and up. A case that is too large lets the card rattle, which defeats the point.

About the Mag Lock Card Case 75pt

A relic card has a window cut into the front and material layered behind it. In a case that is too shallow the window area takes the pressure, and in one that is too deep the card rattles. At 75pt the recess suits the depth of a typical single-piece relic, so the card sits flat with the swatch facing out.

This is chiefly a sports card size, popular with AFL, NRL, NBA and soccer collectors displaying a favourite player's jersey card. Multi-piece patches and heavy memorabilia will usually need the 100pt case; ordinary inserts belong in 35pt or 55pt.

Cases like this are often used on a shelf with a stand, or in a display box at a show table. Open the magnetic join by hand to load the card face up into the recess, close the lid and check it sits flat. If the lid will not close cleanly, try the next size up. Keep spare cases in their box until needed so the acrylic faces stay free of scratches.

Common questions

Are these UV protective?

Check the individual product page — UV rating varies by case. Regardless of rating, no acrylic case makes a card safe in direct sunlight; keep displayed cards out of it.

Can I put a graded card in one?

No. Graded cards come in their own sealed slab, which is far thicker than any of these. A graded card case is the right product for a slab.

Will the magnets damage the card?

No. The magnets are at the edge of the case, holding the two acrylic halves together — they are not in contact with the card and exert no pressure on it.
