About the Soft Card Sleeves — Japanese Mini Size
A loose sleeve is only half a sleeve. When a 59 × 86 mm Yu-Gi-Oh! card sits in a sleeve made for 63 × 88 mm cards, it shifts every time the sleeve moves, and its corners end up doing the work the sleeve should. The mini cut keeps the card still, so it can go into a small top loader, a binder pocket or a storage box with its surface and edges protected.
Be careful with the size. These sleeves are for Japanese mini cards only. Japanese-language Pokémon, One Piece, Dragon Ball and Magic cards are printed at standard size and will not fit; they need the standard Soft Card Sleeves (SCS-ST). The sleeves suit bulk storage, binder collections and grading submissions, where a card usually travels in a soft sleeve inside a semi-rigid holder. Check your grader's current guidance first.
Use these as protection rather than for play. For a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck you will shuffle, a deck sleeve such as the Japanese Blackout sleeve is thicker and opaque-backed. For storage, load the card head first, keep sleeved cards out of direct sun, and stack them upright in a box so they are not pressed flat under weight.

Which way up does the card go?
Face down, back of the card toward the sleeve opening, so the front is fully covered. When double-sleeving, the inner sleeve goes on upside down relative to the outer one so the two openings do not line up.
