Palms Off Gaming Mint Fit Inner Sleeves — Japanese Mini Size
A$4.50 — In stock
Mint Fit Inner Sleeves in Japanese mini size hold a Yu-Gi-Oh! card tightly, ready to go into an outer sleeve. Small cards have very little margin for error: a standard inner sleeve leaves several millimetres of slack around a mini card, and the card slides around inside. This size is cut for the smaller format, so the double-sleeved card stays put and the deck stays square.
Why collectors pick this one
- Snug inner sleeve for Japanese mini cards
- Cut for Yu-Gi-Oh! so the card cannot slide
- Fits inside Japanese-size deck and over sleeves
- Load inverted into the outer sleeve to seal the card
- Part of the Palms Off Collector's Series
Choosing the right one
Two decisions. **Size** — standard fits Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Lorcana and sports cards; Japanese mini fits Yu-Gi-Oh (Japanese Pokémon cards are standard size). **Loading edge** — a side-loading inner sleeve pairs with a top-loading outer sleeve so the two openings sit at right angles, which seals the card completely.
About the Mint Fit Inner Sleeves — Japanese Mini Size
Double-sleeving a Yu-Gi-Oh! deck is common for anyone running expensive staples or prized rarities. The inner sleeve holds the card and never gets handled; the outer sleeve takes every shuffle. With mini cards that only works if both layers are the right size, because a loose inner makes the outer sleeve bulge and the deck harder to shuffle without bending cards.
Sleeve the card head first into the inner, then put it into the outer sleeve bottom first, so the inner's opening ends up at the closed end of the outer sleeve. Palms Off Premium Over Sleeves and Blackout Deck Sleeves in Japanese mini size are suitable outers. Remember that Japanese-language Pokémon and One Piece cards are standard size, so they need the standard Mint Fit inner (MF-IN-ST) instead.
If flipping every card as you sleeve a 40-card deck sounds tedious, look at the side-loading Japanese inner (MF-SLIN-JPN), which opens on the side and seals automatically inside a top-loading outer. Keep spare inners in the deck box, so a sleeve that splits during an event can be swapped without unsleeving the rest.

Common questions
Why double-sleeve at all?
The inner sleeve holds the card snugly and never gets handled; the outer sleeve takes all the shuffling and table contact. Wear ends up on a sleeve you can replace rather than on the card.
Which way up does an inner sleeve go?
Upside down relative to the outer sleeve, so the two openings do not line up. With a side-loading inner sleeve the openings are already at right angles, which achieves the same thing more reliably.
Will a double-sleeved card still fit a binder pocket?
Usually yes, though the binder will sit fuller when every pocket is loaded. A top loader binder is the better choice if most of the collection is double-sleeved.
