Blackout Deck Sleeves are Palms Off Gaming's tournament sleeve for standard-size cards. Each pack holds 100 sleeves with a clear front and a stipple-textured back that is fully opaque, built from two layers so nothing behind the card shows through. That is the sleeve to reach for when a Pokémon, Magic, Lorcana or One Piece deck is going to be shuffled hard every week and still needs to look uniform from the back.

Why collectors pick this one

Choosing the right one

Two decisions. **Size** — standard sleeves fit Pokémon, Magic, One Piece, Lorcana and sports cards; Japanese mini sleeves fit Yu-Gi-Oh, which is noticeably smaller. Japanese-language Pokémon cards are standard size, so they take standard sleeves. **Finish** — gloss shuffles faster and shows colour more vividly, matte reduces glare and grips slightly, which most players prefer for long sessions.

About the Blackout Deck Sleeves — Standard Size

An opaque back matters more than most players realise. Once a sleeve picks up a nick or a scuff, a see-through back can let you, or your opponent, tell one card from another. A solid back hides both the card back and most of the sleeve's own wear, which keeps a deck consistent across a long event. The textured surface also lets sleeved cards slide past each other cleanly when you riffle or mash shuffle.

At 66 × 91 mm the sleeve leaves a small margin around a 63 × 88 mm card, so it works on its own or over a snug inner sleeve if you want to double-sleeve. Pair it with Mint Fit Inner Sleeves for a sealed card, or with a Palms Off deck box to carry the finished deck. A hundred sleeves covers a 60-card constructed deck with spares, or most of a 100-card Commander list.

Choose this version for a standard-finish sleeve in standard size. If you play under bright venue lights or photograph your cards, the matte version (BODS-ST-M) cuts glare. If your deck is Yu-Gi-Oh!, you need the Japanese mini size instead, since these will be loose on the smaller card. The sleeves are acid-free and PVC-free, so they are fine for long-term storage as well as play.

Common questions

What is the difference between standard and Japanese mini size?

Japanese mini (often called Yu-Gi-Oh size) is cut for 59 × 86 mm cards, smaller than the 63 × 88 mm standard, so those cards need their own sleeve size. Yu-Gi-Oh is mini size. Pokémon (English and Japanese), Magic, One Piece, Lorcana and sports cards are standard.

Should I choose matte or gloss?

Matte reduces glare and has slightly more grip, which most players prefer for long sessions and for photographing cards. Gloss shuffles faster and shows colour more vividly. Neither protects better than the other.

What is an over sleeve for?

Double-sleeving. The card goes in an inner sleeve first, then the whole thing goes into an over sleeve. The card is then sealed on all sides and the inner sleeve takes no handling at all — standard practice for anything valuable that still sees play.
