Clear tape is the last step of a safe card package. Use it to seal the flap of a bubble mailer or rigid cardboard mailer, close the box on a grading submission, and tape a cardboard sandwich together so a top-loaded card cannot slide around. Avoid putting packing tape directly on a top loader or semi-rigid: the residue can make the holder awkward to open and buyers may count it as damage. Painter's tape or a team bag is the better choice to keep a card from sliding out.

Two rolls keep one at the packing station and one in a submission kit or market-day bag, so you are not scrambling to find tape when a sale comes through.
